On March 26, 2024, Grzegorz Górski, CTO and Project Manager of ShipDocs and Jacek Kulikowski, Business Development Manager, had the opportunity to participate in an expert panel during the second edition of the Academic Gdynia Innovation Days (GDYNIA I-DAYS) conference, organized by the GMU Technology Transfer Centre Team at Gdynia Maritime University.
The event brought together many industry leaders, innovators, scientists and technology enthusiasts who shared their knowledge and experience. It included presentations, discussion panels and networking, enabling the establishment of valuable contacts and a new perspective on business and technological challenges. During the “Regatta for Innovations” panel, experts shared their experiences of what expectations employers have of employees in an innovative knowledge-based economy. They also presented the barriers and difficulties faced by scientists creating unique technologies and solutions, as well as companies looking for highly profitable projects. Various forms of co-financing the creation or implementation of innovative products in industry were presented, i.e. programs and competitions using EU funds from the new financial perspective and entities supporting direct and indirect commercialization of inventions on the part of universities.
The event ended with gratitude to the participants and an invitation to participate in the next editions of the Academic Gdynia Innovation Days in which we will for sure be taking part.
